Chicago Deep Dish Pizza | Awesome Deep Dish Pizza Recipe!

in a bread bowl it all depends on where you’re from I’ll let you decide this is
Baum Grillin’z and we’re making Chicago deep-dish pizza let’s do it first things
first we’re making our dough you’re gonna need three and a quarter cups
flour half-a-cup yellow cornmeal 1 and 1/4 tsp
salt 1 tablespoon sugar and active dry yeast now go ahead and pour in 1 and a
quarter cups slightly warm water quarter cup melted butter and mix that all
together now if you have a stand mixer in a dough hook you can use that as well
now we’re gonna go ahead and knead this dough until it’s slightly sticky if you
find your dough is too tough add in a teaspoon of warm water or if it’s too
soft knead in a tablespoon of flour go ahead
and place your dough back in its bowl with some olive oil and coat all sides
wrap it up and let it rise for one to two hours alright it’s time to make our
pizza sauce so get yourself a saucepan on medium heat start off by melting 2
tablespoons of butter once that’s all melted add in 1/3 cup of grated onion
1/2 a teaspoon crushed red pepper 1 TSP dried oregano let all those ingredients
slightly Brown up for about 5 minutes then go ahead and add 3 cloves of minced
garlic add a 28-ounce can of crushed tomatoes a quarter teaspoon sugar and three-quarter teaspoon salt give
that a nice mix let that simmer for 30 minutes to an hour all right our dough
has risen go ahead and give it a poke down cuz we all love to do that now just
roll out your dough you’re gonna want to make a 12-inch circle or something like
it and place that into your cast iron skillet now we’re gonna just go ahead
and form our crust looking good okay let’s assemble this pizza we’ve got
some fresh mozzarella go ahead and layer that on the bottom
just like that next up we got pepperoni from the deli
this stuff was sliced nice and thin now for some sausage this is a mild sausage now toss in some mushrooms now that our
sauce is thickened up we’re gonna go ahead and use that and we’re going to
cover all of our ingredients now we’re going to add some onions to
the top along with some green bell pepper now before we place it in the oven we’re
gonna go ahead and oil the crust bake your pizza at 425 for 25 to 30
minutes five minutes before your pizza’s done
pull it out and add some mozzarella and some fresh parmesan throw it back in the
oven and melt that cheese whoo yeah go ahead and toss on some basil for some
color doesn’t that look good hungry let’s slice and dice and take a bite oh yeah that is some bomb grillings
right there that’s chicago-style deep-dish pizza I hope you guys enjoyed

  5. Pizza is pizza. there's different styles. Just like there's different kinds of cars or vehicles. Everyone has their favorite. Only crime in pizza making is burning any of it imo…

  6. Is deep dish really Pizza? I think so man, Pizza deserves its one family of types kinda like cats have Lions, Jags, Cheetahs. Pizza is more important than Cats Gdamn it!

  7. If only you would smoke some weed and drink a beer while doing this, this would be the best channel ever. One feezable request though is that you eat the food in front of us on fast forward, its gratifying when you see the cook actually like and grub what he makes. If you dont eat it all or as much, np, will make it more believable when you do.

  8. You make yours a lot like I make mine. The only difference is I put a while pound of mozzarella on top of my sauce, then fresh Asiago cheese on top of that. But everything else I do the exact same way. Thanks for the awesome video!

  9. Thats not a real pizza…If he would've really loaded cheese on top as well and let it fully brown like a real pizza than Yea…But the way he did it makes me feel like smacking that Moron…

  10. Baum man, take your game up a notch. "Proof" your dough overnight in the fridge, (or a cool, dry place sub 50 degrees f). It will add texture and flavor to your crust like you wouldn't believe. It will also add support, (structure), so your crust isn't so "crumbly". Other than that, your recipe looks spot on!

  11. That pizza needs ALOT more cheese like between every layer not the bottom…I would have to make a lot of adjustments for my taste

  12. Crust was too thick. Too much corn meal in the dough. No layering of cheese meant no structure and the sauce spills out. Too much pepperoni on top of the cheese layer. Its own greese sullied your cheese. Sauce was too thick. You want it thinner so that it reaches the consistency on your spoon after it is done cooking…. this Deep Dish Pizza was a disaster.

  14. the answer is yes chicago pizza is real pizza! when im asked the question which is better chicago or ny style i saay yes because neither one is better! its like comparing apples with oranges! ny style is made to eat on the go and chicago style is made to eat at the dinner table! theyre both equally as good! it all comes down to who is making the pies in the first place! ny and chicago style both get thumbs up with me!!

  15. There was a man from Chicago, I forget his name.. but he eventually moved to Ca, and had a restaurant in Moreno Valley called Chicago Pasta House. Had the best Chicago style that Ive ever had, & thats actually saying something. I talked to him at times & he claimed to be the first. Whether he was, or not, he was VERY good. Ive made some good ones myself, but I doubt I match his.

  16. Why are you so chintzy on the top of the pizza with onion,green pepper and cheese???? If that was served to me that way i would have you redo it or I would not pay for for it!!! You did something wrong here or you were drinking😆😆😆😆

  17. I'll make this but I'm a great cook and mine will look ten times better than your pizza looked w you did the top of it.Did you run out of onion,green pepper and cheese because you didn't finish topping it😆😆😆😆😆
