Today’s word is acrid. It means harsh, sharp, bitter, foul-smelling. I remember acrid because it sounds like acid. Acid is also harsh, sharp, probably bad-smelling. We could think of a lemon. A lemon is very acidic. It also has a very harsh, sharp flavor. So a lemon is acidic. It is also acrid. We could also think of acrid in terms of vibes. So if someone has an acrid sense of humor,
it’s a pretty sharp, cutting sense of humor. Acrid, it means harsh, sharp, bitter. Subscribe for more Word of the Day videos
